The microscope eyepiece is in three sections (I,II,III), the glued eye lens (III) unit comprising an outer negative lens (IIIN) and inner positive one (IIIP) with a focal length fIII greater than zero while a stop is provided at the end towards the subject. The stop is followed by the first section (I), which consists of a meniscus-type negative lens of focal length fI less than zero, with convex and concave faces respectively towards stop and eye. The second section (II) consists of a biconvex positive lens of focal length fII greater than zero. Where f is the focal length of the eyepiece, fI is less than fII, fII is less than fIII, and 1.5f is less than fI is less than 3F. USE/ADVANTAGE - Microscope eyepiece is usable by people wearing spectacles. |
