For pulling spring nails out of woods, or dowel-plugged concrete sleepers in railway track, use is made of an appliance set on the track, with hydrostatic drive unit, height-adjustable working piston with draw-hook, and abutment with one arm braced against a rail end the other on a sleeper. The abutment's (44) gantry arm (46, 50) supportable on the rail (5), and the one supported on the sleeper (9) via an adjusting screw (52), form rigid extensions of the working unit (42). This and the drive unit are mounted on opposite jib arms (32) of a two-armed cantilevered unit (28) connected to the chassis by a tilting and turning hinge. |
