PURPOSE:To make turning round property and stability of vehicle compatible with each other at a high dimension by making control with viscosity of elastic parts which steadily support input in the right and left directions of vehicle varied at the time of start of turning and at the time of steady turning. CONSTITUTION:A rear suspension member 7 is mounted on car body by a bush 8 containing front side electromagnetic viscous fluid and a rear side member bush 9. The above-mentioned bush 8 is controlled by a controller 10 based on a signal from the speed sensor 11 of a steering wheel. At this time, when the steering wheel is cut from straight advance condition, viscosity of the above bush 8 is increased, and lateral force compliance characteristics of suspension are changed in the direction of oversteer to improve turning round property of vehicle. On the other hand, in the steady turning condition viscosity of the above bush 8 is decreased, and lateral force compliance characteristics are changed in the direction of understeer to stabilize vehicle. |
