Plasmid DNA (DSM-6237) and expression vectors - encoding human gamma interferon prodn., prepd. by cleavage of c-DNA

Plasmid DNA (DSM-6237) and expression vectors contg. this recombinant DNA which encode the prodn. of human gamma-interferon are new. Prepn. of this plasmid DNA comprises cleavage of c-DNA (not contg. poly-A) contg. 1194 base pairs of the 3'-non-coding region up to the residue of 19 nucleotides, using a restriction endonuclease, cleavage of the 5'-non-translation region and the leader sequence of the protein using a restriction endonuclease and insertion of the gene in the plasma PKK-233-2 in host cells e.g. Escherichia coli. USE - The transformed cells are propagated to produce human gamma-interferon which is isolated and purified by cation exchange resin chromatography and gel filtration.
