STABILIZED HEXAHYDRO-5-PYRIMIDINAMINE COMPOUNDS IN AQUEOUS SOLUTIONS AND The present invention pertains to stabilized aqueous antiseptic compositions which comprise (a) a therapeutically effective amount of an antiseptic hexahydro-5-pyrimidinamine compound, (b) a sufficient amount of an aqueous buffer solution to maintain the pH of the antiseptic composition between about 5 and about 7, and (c) a nonionic surfactant. The stabilized antiseptic compositions may be utilized in a wide variety of typical antiseptic pharmaceutical products. This invention also relates to methods for preparing these stabilized antiseptic compositions and the topical antiseptic pharmaceutical products in which the stabilized antiseptic compositions may be employed.
