PURPOSE:To improve high rate discharge performance of an organic electrolyte battery by providing a negative plate with a potential nobler than 0.1Vvs.Li/Li' and an organic solvent, in which dimethoxyethane is added to a mixture of acetonitrile and ethylene carbonate, as an electrolyte. CONSTITUTION:A negative plate such as with a potential nobler than 0.1Vvs.Li/ Li' is provided, and an organic solvent, in which dimethoxyethane(DME) is added to a mixture of acetonitrile(AN) and ethylene carbonate(EC), is provided as an electrolyte. An electrode, having a potential nobler than lithium by 0.1V or more, is used in a negative pole, but an aluminum alloy negative pole may be used, and in addition, a carbon negative pole, lithium lead alloy negative pole, tungsten dioxide negative pole or polyparaphenylene and the like may be used. That is, DME with a low dielectric constant but having a relatively large donor number with low viscosity is added to the EC+AN electrolyte to increase the dielectric constant. In this way, high rate discharge performance of an organic electrolyte battery can be improved. |
