<p>PURPOSE:To improve regeneration efficiency of a filter trap, prevent damage and meeting of the filter trap, and improve durability thereof by arranging a regenerating burner on an upstream side of the filter trap, and also arranging an exhaust gas backflow cover 13a on the down stream side of the filter trap so as to cover it. CONSTITUTION:During normal operation of an engine, a damper 17 closes a bypass tube 19, and particulates in exhaust gas is captured by a filter trap 13. The exhaust gas having passed through the filter trap 13 flows backward through an inner face of a backflow cover 13a along the filter trap 13. Since an outer peripheral portion of the filter trap 13 is heated, the filter trap 13 is evenly heated. The filter trap is evenly heated in a radial direction at the time of purification of the exhaust gas and regeneration thereof, so that the particulates are combusted substantially perfectly. It is thus possible to improve regeneration efficiency of the filter trap, prevent damage and melting loss of the filter trap, and improve durability thereof.</p> |
