<p>PURPOSE:To keep tension approximately constant and to stably run a tape by increasing an application current under the control of a driving current and decreasing the application current under the control of a control current. CONSTITUTION:When the loading torque of a reel motor on the wind-up side is below a specified value, the reel radius on the tape supply side is detected from a reel rotation speed, the electrical self braking torque is detected from the rotation speed under the control of the control current and the control current for obtaining the control tension is calculated. When the loading torque of the reel motor on the wind-up side is above the specified value and when the following conditions are satisfied: TG>FS.(alpha)max.(RT)max, where a reel controlling tension on the tape supply side is FS, max. reel diameter on the roll up side is (RT)max, max. alpha taking into account the deterioration of the tape and mechanism and the variation is (alpha)max and the wind-up torque is TG, it is found that the controlling tension FS exceeds the specified value and the control current of the reel motor on the tape supply side is changed in such direction that the tension can be reduced. Thus, the tension can be kept approximately constant.</p> |
