A display book is made by welding a plurality of filing sleeves 10 of transparent plastics material together along one edge thereof to form a welded spine 26, and crimping an extruded plastics strip 32 of C-shaped cross-section onto the filing sleeves so as to embrace the welded spine and press on the outer sleeves in the region adjacent the welded spine.
