摘要

Water-impermeable sealing mat :onsists of a support layer, an intermediate layer of swellable clay and a top layer. The novel features are that: (a) the support and/or top layer consist of a nonwoven fibre mat and opt. a layer of woven or knitted fabric; and (b) all 3 layers are needled together. Pref. the nonwoven fibre mat cpnsists of mechanically consolidated spun fibre mat, pref. of unrottable synthetic fibres (polyolefins, esp. HDPE). The intermediate layer consists of bentonite, pref. an alkaline activated bentonite, esp. an activated Na bentonite, in the form of powder or granulate, pref. a granulate with a particle size of at least 2.5 mm.
