The invention concerns a device for clamping abrasive paper (5) to the sander plate (3) of a vibration sander (1). The device has a spring-biased clamping element (7) which holds the abrasive paper (5). The clamping element has a finger grip (15) by which it is operated and is mounted so that it can be rotated either into a clamping position or a raised position. The clamping device proposed is particularly simple to manufacture and particularly reliable if the clamping element (7) is a bi-stable spring-up device.
