PURPOSE:To obtain a sufficiently large igniting energy by flowing a large current required for the main transistor constantly irrespective of the volume or waveform of the induction voltage of an ignition coil. CONSTITUTION:When a voltage which is positive on the side of a terminal A is induced at the primary winding 31 of the ignition coil 3, a current flows to the base of the main transistor 1 through between the terminals S and D of FET5, whereby the main transistor 1 is made conductive. Since the current flowing through FET5 is constant even when the voltage between A and C rises, the short-circuit current flowing to the main transistor 1 is kept fixed. When the voltage rises furthermore, a subtransistor 2 is made conductive. Thereby the main transistor 1 is interrupted and a large output voltage is generated at the secondary-side winding 32 of the ignition coil 3, whereby an ignition plug 4 is made to spark. |
