The wall thickness of the extruded material, from sheet extruding mach. is regulated in relation to the extruded length by adjustment of the gap width in the injection head. A length measuring instr. provides the signal for a generator which holds the programme relating length and wall thickness. The output signal of the generator adjusts the gap width via a hydraulic system.
