<p>Processing of sewage sludge is facilitated by separating it into hydrophilic and hydrophobic components. Mineral acids are added to sludge to reduce pH to below 5, when hydrophobic substances are removed from the top and are opt. converted to fuel by addition of coal dust, whilst sedimented high-molecular substances are converted to manure.</p> |
