A metal vessel, particularly a gas bottle or tank, comprises on its outer face (3) an anti-corrosion protective covering (4) taking the form of a polymerising powder consisting of a mixture based on a macromolecular compound formed from an epoxide and of zinc particles. To obtain better protection by the cathode effect and by the barrier effect, the zinc particles on the one hand consist of a mixture of zinc powder and of lamellar zinc and on the other hand constitute of the order of 30 to 60 % by weight in the polymerising powder forming the anti-corrosion protective covering (4).
