A clothes drying rock is assembled from four 'U' shaped frames carrying cross bars and with ends turned inwards to fit a common housing from which two frames serve as a trestle linked by tie rods and two extend as cantilevers supported by struts. Both tie bars and struts are provided with a form of knee joint with asymmetric jaws and a sliding pin so that the linked rods are locked in angular positions which differ by either O deg, when folded, or 180 deg., when extended. The housing pref. supports a plate for locating a complementary peg basket of wire mesh.
