The rudder (1) has a geared second smaller rudder surface (2). The second surface is spatially separated from the first rudder surface, with a gap (3) in a between the trailing edge of the first surface and the leading edge of the second flow-technical sense. The separation is proportional to the rudder position. The rear smaller rudder surface forms an individual additional system, to give increased lift and therefore increased turning movement. The first rudder has a rudder stock (4) mounted in the ball (5). The second rudder is mounted or pivots (6) on the first rudder. USE - Double rudder system for boat or ship.
