<p>PURPOSE:To prevent such an inconvenient case where a user pushes an invalid button by mistake by providing e means which controls the shape of a mouse cursor in response to the input position of a mouse on a screen. CONSTITUTION:When a mouse curso is displayed on a CRT 111 by a mouse cursor display means 105, the shape of the mouse cursor is decided by a mouse cursor control means 113. The screen of the CRT 111 consists of the rectangular areas 1-3 with (400X600) dots. When a document editing means 101 wants to invalidate the right and left buttons of en area 1, for instance, a mouse cursor control block MCB is formed by the means 113. The means 105 fetches periodically the position of the mouse cursor on the screen end displays the mouse cursor in its included area. That is, all positions are included in the area 1 on the screen according to the state of the MBC. Therefore a user can know a valid button based on the shape of the mouse cursor.</p> |
