<p>PURPOSE:To prevent scold of epidermises and internal browning and enable freshness retention of apples by individually packaging the apples with a film such as a transparent film and then sealing a gaseous carbon dioxide remover, an ethylene absorbent and a disoxidizer in the aforementioned individual packaging container. CONSTITUTION:Apples are individually packaged with a transparent or semitransparent film into packages each for one or several pieces and a gaseous carbon dioxide remover 4 such as particulate or granular quick lime, together with an ethylene absorbent 2 and a disoxidizer 3, is sealed in the aforementioned individual packaging container (e.g. cassette 1). Thereby, freshness of the apples can be retained. Furthermore, the gaseous carbon dioxide remover 4 is preferably mixed with the ethylene absorbent 2 and the disoxidizer 3 and used as a one package.</p> |
