SPLITTABLE CONJUGATE FIBER

摘要

PURPOSE:To obtain the subject fiber splittable in high splitting efficiency to form ultrafine fibers by dividing a polyester component hardly soluble in an organic acid amide solvent with a specific copolymerized polyester component easily soluble in the solvent. CONSTITUTION:The objective fiber is a splittable conjugate fiber composed of (A) a polyester component hardly soluble in an organic acid amide solvent and divided into plural sections with (B) a polyester component easily soluble in the above organic acid amide solvent and continuously extended in the cross- section of the fiber. The component B is a polyester composed of an acid component consisting of 30-60mol% of isophthalic acid and 70-40mol% of terephthalic acid and a glycol component containing >=70mol% of ethylene glycol. The weight ratio (B:A) is 80:20 to 2:98, the component A is composed of >=8 constituent units each having a fineness of <=1de and the fineness of the component A is 1-20de before splitting.
