PURPOSE:To prepare a polyurethane resin compsn. giving a coating film excellent in the resistance to heat and light and in toughness by reacting a specific polyester polyol, an org. diisocyanate compd., and if necessary a specific chain extender in a specified ratio. CONSTITUTION:The title compsn. contains, as the main component, a polyurethane resin obtd. by reacting a polyester polyol having a reduced viscosity of 0.15 or higher and comprising a carboxylic acid component mainly consisting of an arom. dicarboxylic acid and a glycol component consisting of 30-100mol% glycol of the formula (wherein X1 and X2 are each a 1-10C hydroxyalkylene group or a group prepd. by adding 1-10mol of an alkylene oxide to a 1-4C hydroxyalkylene group) and 0-70mol% other glycols, an org. diisocyanate compd., and if necessary a chain extender having active hydrogen groups (e.g. ethylene glycol) in an equivalent ratio of the sum of the active hydrogen groups in the polyol and the extender to the isocyanate groups in the diisocyanate compd. of more than 1. |
