APPARATUS FOR RECORDING A VIDEO SIGNAL ON A RECORDING MEDIUM In an apparatus for recording a video signal on a record medium and having a circuit for separating luminance and chrominance signal components from an input video signal, a frequency-modulator receiving the separated luminance signal component and providing a frequencymodulated luminance signal, and an equalizer for emphasizing low frequency components of the frequency-modulated luminance signal; a circuit is provided fox selecting, as the luminance signal to be recorded on the record medium, either the frequency-modulated luminance signal from the frequency modulator when the video signal is derived from a television tuner or video reproducing apparatus, or the low frequency emphasized output of the equalizer when the video signal is from a television camera. |
