发明名称 THERMAL TRANSFER RECORDING MEDIUM
摘要 PURPOSE:To provide the title recording medium excellent in thermal transfer properties at the times of high density printing and high speed printing, imparting a printed image of high resolving power to low smoothness paper and preventing background staining at high temp. by adding two or more kinds of waxes and dye/pigment to a release layer to provide specific heat absorbability to said layer. CONSTITUTION:A thermal transfer recording medium is constituted of a support 1, a release layer 2, an ink layer 3 and an overcoat layer 4. The release layer 2 contains two or more kinds of waxes and dye/pigment and continuously has endotherm of 40-80cal/g within a temp. difference range of 50 deg.C at 40-120 deg.C. By this constitution, transfer properties can be controlled within an energy range from low energy to high energy or within a range from a low temp. environment condition of 0 deg.C to a high temp. environment condition of 100 deg.C and one-dot reproducibility under low energy or low temp. environment can be enhanced and, further, the contamination due to the accumulation of heat under high energy or high temp. environment can be prevented. Since the melt viscosity of the release layer 2 is high because of the added dye/pigment and the release layer is easy to cut at the time of transfer, an excellent printed image is obtained by the synergistic effect with endotherm.
