<p>The air is supplied to the furnace at a constant temp. of 1225 degrees C. This is achieved by mixing air which has passed across the regulating hearth of the furnace with waste gas which has been heated in a flow chamber which is designed so that there is transverse mixing of the air as it is heated. The air mixt. is collected in a collector and the proportions are controlled by means of electronically controlled valves and a pyrometric potentiometer.</p> |
