<p>Steel contains graphite modules distributed regularly in a perlitic or martensitic matrix, these nodules having been produced by adding to the steel-making furnace after the melting stage, 0.9 - 1.4% of Si in the form of ferro-silicon and 0.2 - 0.6% of SiCaZr, while the metal is at the casting temp. Specif., the C content of the steel (nodules + matrix) is 1.4 - 1.6%. The homogeneous distribution of nodules makes this steel esp. suitable for prodn. of gears.</p> |
