PURPOSE:To always stably suck, position and mount an electronic component by calculating a height deviation of setting and detecting means based on data from the setting means and data from the detecting means, and controlling the operating amount of sucking means based on the deviation. CONSTITUTION:A nozzle 11 for sucking to hold an electronic component 10 is mounted at a head 12, and real height of the head 12 is detected by a pulse counter 17 via a transmission type sensor 18 provided between a reference height HS and a rising limit HL. A calculator 15 compares the value detected by a detector 14 with a reference value (reference height of the head 12 by considering the nozzle 11) previously set to a setter 13 to calculate a deviation between both. Then, the deviation is subtracted from the height at the preset operating point of the head 12, the real operating amount of the head 12 is calculated, and the head 12 is controlled to be driven based on the calculated real operating amount. |
