PURPOSE:To improve the coloring sensitivity, whiteness, light resistance, moisture resistance and plasticizer resistance by composing the title sensitizer of terephthalic acid dimethl ester and a specified compound. CONSTITUTION:The title sensitizer for heat sensitive recording consists of terephthalic acid dimethyl ester A, a compound B shown by a general formula 1, and a compound C shown by a general formula 2, as required. The title material for heat sensitive recording contains an electron donative colorless coloring agent and an electron acceptive development substance in a layer which formed on a supporting body, and is colored by heat, and contains this sensitizer in the layer which is formed on the supporting body. The weight ratio between terephthalic acid dimethyl ester A and the compound B is generally 25:75-80:20, and when A is less than 25, the heat sensitivity and plasticizer resistance as a heat sensitive recording paper is lowered. Also, when A exceeds 80, the heat sensitivity decreases. For this sensitizer, when the compound C is jointly used together with A and B, the sensitivity becomes sharper. The weight ratio between A+B and C is generally 95:0-50:50. When the compound C exceeds 50, the sensitivity decreases on the contrary lower, than the case of A and B only. |
