<p>PURPOSE:To improve biodegradability, photodegradability, moldability, and properties in practical use by molding an esterified or etherified lignocellulose material. CONSTITUTION:Substituents are introduced through ester or ether linkages into at least a part of hydroxyl groups of cellulose, hemicellulose, and lignin contained in a lignocellulose material such as wood chips, wood flour, wood fiber, waste veneer, waste plywood, waste rarer, paddy straw, rice hulls, kaoliang, bagasse, bamboo, wheat straw, or coconuts to give an esterified or etherified lignocellulose material, which is molded into a desired shape, e.g. a food container, giving the title article. The article, when disposed after the use, is degraded by photodegradation, biodegradation, contact with sea water, etc.</p> |
