PURPOSE:To enable performance with the best dynamic range at all times without limiting the stress range of a generated sound to a touch conversion process by generating conversion curves matching dynamic ranges of touches characteristic to players through a statistical process. CONSTITUTION:Data on a frequency distribution is processed by the inflection point detecting means 22 of a statistical processing part SP to find specific touch data values determining two inflection points of a conversion curve. The touch data values corresponding to those inflection points are processed by an interpolating means 23 to generate a touch curve having the inflection points. In the interpolating process, conversion data corresponding to touch data on a strong stress side and a weak stress side are used and the area between the two inflection points determined by the respective values of those touch data and conversion data and the areas on both sides are interpolated with, for example, straight lines to generate the conversion curve, which is stored in a storage means 24. Consequently, the limitation of the dynamic range such as the shortening of a strong touch sound is eliminated and the performance with the wide dynamic range wherein the auditory resolution of a strong or touch sound is improved becomes possible. |
