PURPOSE:To ensure a high control response even when an AC power system is accompanied with relatively high voltage fluctuation by detecting reactive power of a filter and then correcting actually measured effective and reactive powers of a superconducting energy storing system based on the detection results. CONSTITUTION:Effective power and reactive power detected at a point connected with a capacitor 13 are taken in together with detected values of effective power P and reactive power Q. Actually measured values of effective power and reactive power are then calculated according to a predetermined operation and thus calculated values are outputted. A control circuit 7 controls control delay angle and conduction ratio so that the actually measured effective and reactive powers converge to commanded values.
