PURPOSE:To pinch a plate material by a specified pressure even when a roll is pushed up with a hydraulic unit, by connecting at least lower roll to a drive means through a universal joint. CONSTITUTION:An upper roll 201 and a lower roll 202 of a second roll couple 20 are connected through universal joints 18 and 19 of drive shafts 175 and 176. A support disc 4 on which a first drive means 5 is placed is moved and the distance between a first roll couple 8 and a second roll couple 20 is set as specified. Then, hydraulic units 13 and 25 are operated to grasp a plate material 30 to be tested at a specified and fixed pressure. After a compression type load cell is inserted at the positions of the arrows (a) and (b) between support frames 12 and 24, the first drive means 5 and the second drive means 17 are driven to rotate rolls 81, 82 201 and 202 in the direction of pulling the plate material. |
