发明名称 OPTICAL FIBER GYRO
摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain a highly precise optical fiber gyro wherein zero-point fluctuation is little, by enclosing an optical fiber loop with a thermal buffer box and by interrupting thereby going in and out of a heat. CONSTITUTION:When a heat is applied locally from outside, first, it is diffused along the surface of a heat transfer box 5 by the heat conduction thereof and a rise in temperature is eased by a thermal capacity. Moreover, the heat is transmitted through a heat insulation box 4 by the heat conduction and given to a heat transfer box 3. Since the quantity of the heat given to the heat transfer box 3 is turned to be very small by a heat-insulating action of the heat insulation box 4 on the occasion, the distribution of temperature of each part of the heat transfer box 3 is uniform and the rise in temperature turns very small. The heat of the heat transfer box 3 is conducted to a bobbin 2 and a spacer 6, and further a thermal impact is alleviated. Thus, the heat being uniform and in a very small quantity is given to the outer periphery of an optical fiber loop 1 and the temperature of each part of the loop 1 becomes uniform, while the change in the temperature turns to be very slow. As the result, the respective optical paths of two light waves passing through the loop 1 in directions reverse to each other are quite equal and thus the occurrence of zero-point fluctuation of an optical fiber gyro can be prevented.
