The device is fitted to a rectilinear knitting machine comprising a carriage 3 that moves horizontally above a pair of beds 4 containing slots in which corresponding needles slide and having at least one vertically mobile anchor 5. The anchor 5 drives, in both directions of travel, A (forwards) and R (backwards), a slide 7 which supports a yarn feeder 2 and slides on a bar 6 located above and parallel to the beds 4. The slide 7 is provided symmetrically at opposite ends with respective brake members 8 for clamping the slide 7 to the bar 6. The slide 7 also includes means 16 for pivoting the yarn feeder 2 between a vertical working position and an angled position in a direction contrary to the said directions of travel A, R, so as to allow access to the working area. <IMAGE> |
