PURPOSE:To make difficult generation of coupling of vibration modes and enable high efficiency operation by comprising an ultrasonic vibrator for exciting the standing waves of at least almost orthogonally crossing two directions a driving end to be provided in a vibration extracting part and an elastic body provided with pressure to the vibration extracting part. CONSTITUTION:When the driving ends 30a and 30b are provided to an ultrasonic vibrator 11, structural symmetry is broken, deteriorating the excitation efficiency. Massive members 31a and 31b are provided in the position symmetrical to the installation areas of the vibrating ends 30a and 30b with reference to the node of vibration excited by the ultrasonic vibrator 11. Shape and sizes of massive members 31a, 31b may be set smaller than the driving end depending on use of the material having the density larger than that of the material of driving end. Moreover, it is also possible to provide a massive member 31a to a part of the elastic body 21 without providing protruded area by selecting a massive member 31a having the mass equal to that of the driving end 30a and elastic body 21a. |
