The invention relates to a drying enclosure comprising a cylindrical wall (11), in the internal volume of which there operates, according to a radiation plane (P1) which, parallel to its generating lines, is perpendicular to its longitudinal plane of symmetry (P2), an ultra-violet radiation lamp which is supposed to be concentrated at a point (C). According to the invention, the profile of the transverse section of this cylindrical wall (11) is at least in part formed by elliptical arcs (E1, E2, E3 ... Ei) which on the one hand all have in common one and the same first focus, the point (C) and the respective second foci (C1, C2, C3 ...
