PURPOSE:To surely adjust registration by controlling a pattern image forming means in accordance with the result of read by a pattern image read means. CONSTITUTION:This device is provided with the pattern image forming means 1-5 for forming a pattern image for correcting registration, the pattern image read means 6-10 for reading the formed pattern image. Furthermore, it is equipped with a registration correction means 20 for correcting misregistration based on the result of the reading by the means 6-10, and a control means 21 for controlling the means 1-5 in accordance with the result of the reading by the means 6-10. Thus, the registration is accurately adjusted. |
