The process which makes it possible to perform at least two successive steps which are necessary in a molecular biology experiment in the same tube, of the Eppendorf tube type, consists in: - depositing in the tube a volume of the first reaction medium (A), - layering the medium (A) with an oil, - depositing the second reaction medium (B) directly over an oil, - mixing, after performing the reaction in the medium (A) and/or (B), the media (A) and (B), - incubating, in the mixture A + B obtained, a reaction which has as substrate the products of the preceding reaction(s), the various operations being carried out without having to open the said tube. <IMAGE>
