<p>Equipment for exploration of underwater strata, e.g. sea or lake bottom, comprises a probe loaded by a ballast element designed to be buried in the sea or lake bed, one or more jacks interposed between the ballast unit and a support plate resting on the bottom and a connection between the jack and its control apparatus. The ballast unit is a heavy block in which the cylinders of the jack are fixed with their piston rods articulated to the support plates.</p> |
