<p>Polymer mixture contg. up to 40% rubbery substances in the free or contained state. Used as high impact strength material. Prepn. by prepolymerising at 80-150 degrees C, at least one unvulcanised rubbery substance, e.g. natural rubber, or synthetic rubbers such as polybutadiene, polyisoprene, butadiene copolymers with styrene on acrylonitrile, in at least one vinyl monomer, e.g. styrene-methylstyrene, methyl methacrylate, acrylonitrile, until the prepolymer undergoes phase reversol; mechanically comminuting the prepolymer and prepolymerising the particles in the suspension in which they are contained, at 100-150 degrees C in the presence of a radical type catalyst.</p> |
