The invention relates to a device for protecting a person from insect bites and other nuisances in any place or country without requiring a large infrastructure. It consists of a frame (6), (7) that can be taken apart and folded up, stretched over which and secured to lugs, is a sheet whose under portion is impermeable and whose over portion is breathable. The user ties the ends of the sheet to isolate himself from insects and other acarids. On rising, the user folds the assembly up to form a very small lightweight packet.
