The especially lace-up shoe has an insole, a tread sole (1), a heel (2), and an upper (5) consisting of a toe-cap (3) and heel-cap (5). The shoe upper (5) is preferably divided along the top of the foot, and has pairs of eyelets (7) along the edges (6) to take a lace (8). The lace (8) is threaded first at the top eyelets (7) and are threaded downwards, and individually shortened near (9) the bottom eyelets. The lower free ends (10) of the lace (8) are knotted after the two lowest eyelets (7). A tension-piece (11) tightens the lace (8) at least near one of the top eyelets, and preferably consists of a flat plate (13).
