A supporting plate (2) at right angles to the axis of the trailer coupling has a hoop (5) fixed to it so as to engage the neck (4) of the coupling from below. On the underside of the plate (2) a bracket (3) extends above the neck (4), on each side of which a stabiliser (7) is formed of angle iron and secured by a screw (6). The stabilisers (7) are pressed together by a bolt (8) so that the neck (4) is gripped. ADVANTAGE - Easily installed device has no deleterious effects on ride quality or aerodynamics of vehicle, e.g. car, small bus, caravan.
