Tool changer gripper with spring-loaded closing mechanism - has bent hole in space under actuating plunger to allow free movement of plunger
摘要
The gripper has moving fingers which close onto the tool and hold it securely during transfer to and fro between spindle and magazine. A spring-loaded plunger (25) can be moved in the direction normal to the plane of the gripper fingers by pressure against a fixed stop (31) on the machine. The inward movement of the plunger acts through a linkage to open the fingers, allowing disengagement from or access to a tool. The plunger (25) in blind bore (28) acts as a piston in a cylinder to compress and rarify air trapped in the space (50) under the plunger. This is avoided by providing a vent hole (52) with a porous plug (53). USE/ADVANTAGE - Simple method of ensuring free movement of gripper closing mechanism.
