<p>PURPOSE:To transmit information at a low cost as a postal card without the need for packing by a method wherein a medium to which information is electromagnetically recorded is contained in the postal card. CONSTITUTION:A user 1 inserts a postal card 2 made of a magnetic card to an updating and decoding device 3. The postal card 2 inserted to the device 3 may be either a brand-new magnetic card or a used magnetic card. Previously written information can be erased or partially updated in the device 3. Information to be transmitted is written in the postal card 2. On the postal card 2, the address of a user 6 and the address of the sender are written, and a stamp is attached similarly to a normal postal card. Then, the postal card 2 is put in a post 4. The postal card 2 is sent from a post office 5 to a post office 7 and delivered to the user 6. The user 6 inserts the delivered postal card 2 to a device 8 for updating and decoding the magnetic information and reads the information to be transmitted. In addition, the postal card may be made of an IC card, or partially made of a magnetic card or an IC card.</p> |
