PURPOSE:To effectively restrain energy lose by providing a ring mounting part on the outer periphery of a mold for effecting tire vulcanization, and detachably mounting a heat insulating ring on the ring mounting part. CONSTITUTION:On the lower part of the outer peripheral surface of a mold actuator 18, a ring mounting part 19 is formed over the entire area of the peripheral direction thereof, and on the ring mounting part 19, a cylindrical heat insulating ring 20 is mounted detachably on the outer peripheral surface of the actuator 18. The heat insulating ring 20 is a double layered structure wherein it has a ring cover 22 formed in followed relation with heat resistance plastic, metal thin plate, or the like, and in the ring cover 22, and a heat insulating material such as asbestos, air, or the like is placed into the ring cover 22. By mounting the heat insulating ring 20 in contact with the outer peripheral part of the actuator 18, radiation from steam circulated within the actuator 18 is restrained effectually, with resultant substantially reduced energy loss. Furthermore, since the heat insulating ring 20 is readily detachable to the actuator 18, a mold can be mounted after setting to a press or the like. |
