摘要 PURPOSE:To facilitate the correction of meandering and reduce damage on a belt by making the surface of the parallel portion of a tapered roller member to be in contact with the belt with a fiber compound elastomer with its organic fibers exposed on the surface, and making the friction coefficient of the tapered roller member surface smaller than that of the parallel portion of the roller member. CONSTITUTION:A driven roller member 3 comprises a straight cylindrical portion 33 of an approximately uniform diameter and tapered portions 34 on both ends of the parallel cylindrical portion 33. The surface of the parallel portion 33 to be in contact with a belt 4 is made of a fiber compound elastomer 35 with its short fiber strands exposed on the surface to have a friction coefficient smaller than that of the belt surface 4. The tapered portion 34 is formed with polyethylene of an ultrahigh molecular weight to have a friction coefficient lower than that of said contact surface. If the belt 4 meanders, it rides on the tapered portion and the meandering is corrected. Because of the small friction coefficient of the tapered portion 34, frictional damages on the belt margins are reduced.
