PURPOSE:To enable labeling to be made for achieving detection of sugars at a high sensitivity under a more relaxed environment by connecting 1-(p- methoxyphenyl)-3-methyl-5-pyrazolone (PMPMP) to reductive terminals of sugars. CONSTITUTION:A PMPMP to be used may be synthesized by a conventional method or it may be synthesized with high absorbing rate with 4- methoxyphenyldydrazine hydrochloride, sodium acetate trihydrate, and ethylacetoacetate as raw materials. This labeling method allows PMPMP to react with reductive terminals of sugars, and, by reacting the sugars where the reductive terminal is liberated, and PMPMP under alkali, the PMPMP sugars where double molecule PMPMPs are connected per reductive terminal of one molecule sugar can be obtained quantitatively. By using this PMPMP method, sugars can be labeled and detected highly sensitively under relaxed conditions. |
