PURPOSE:The titled composition, obtained by supporting pendimethalin and a specific solvent compound on a granular carrier having a specific mesh, capable of giving uniform and improved herbicidal effect without recognized caking nor solidifying in storing the product for a long period. CONSTITUTION:A granular herbicidal composition obtained by supporting pendimethalin [=N-(1-ethylpropyl)-3,4-dimethyl-2,6-dinitroaniline] which is an extensively used dinitroaniline based nonhormonal absorption and migration type herbicide assuming strong yellow color as an agricultural chemical active constituent and a compound expressed by the formula (R1 is H or CH3; R2 and R3 are 1-4C lower alkyl), e.g. phenyl-3,5-dimethylphenylethane, as a solvent for the above-mentioned active constituent on a granular carrier containing >=95wt% grains having 32-100 mesh grain size, e.g. pumice. EFFECT:The physico-chemical properties as a granule are good without problems in volatility, smell, etc. of the solvent, and care need not be taken for danger thereof, etc., in preparation. |
