The connection for arranging chairs in rows is attached to each side of the chair frame and hooks behind the connection on the adjacent chair. The connection consists of a pin (1) and a flat stop-plate (4) the plane of which is at right angles to that of the pin (1). A flat intermediate piece (9) is formed on the flat stop-plate (4) of the adjacent chair. The intermediate piece (9) has a flat connecting-piece (2) with a lug (3) parallel to the plane of the stop-plate (4). A cavity (6) in the intermediate piece (9) takes a similarly sized and shaped lug (3). The pin (1) has lengthwise grooves (2). ADVANTAGE - The connection for joining up chairs into rows for use in halls is multi-purpose.
