<p>PURPOSE:To reduce environmental pollution caused by discharges from an incinerator by providing in the outlet route of the combustion chamber a combustion promoting member which is made of a ceramic material and sintered and has many gas channels with a hole diameter in a specified range. CONSTITUTION:A combustion promoting member 40 is made. of a ceramic material and formed by sintering, and it has many gas channels with a hole diameter of 10mm-40mm. When this combustion promoting member 40 is placed in the outlet route of a combustion chamber 24 of a refuse incinerator, the gas channel holes are not clogged even by large sparks that are discharged from the refuse incinerator. The high temperature gas that flows out from the combustion chamber passes, therefore, the gas channels readily and active heat receiving and heat giving are made between the gas and the combustion promoting member 40. Further, when the gas temperature is high, the combustion promoting member 40 receives heat and stores it, and when the gas temperature drops, the member 40 discharges the stored heat and raises the gas temperature so that the discharge of sparks and incompletely burned gases is reduced.</p> |
